Gloria Tesch: The New Girl

When it comes to meeting new celebrities and people with given fame, we never really think about the hard work that goes behind it. Sometimes, it could be a simple discovery of something new.
Meet Gloria Tesch, a young author living in Tampa, Florida.
Her popularity has spread over the years as the young writer of the Maradonia Saga. Residents in the Florida area recognize her as the next Stephanie Meyer, or J.K Rowling. The title, "World's Youngest Novelist" has been given to her by many in 2008, although there has been much debate about the exact time she has written and published her first novel, Maradonia and the Seven Bridges. Going back to dates and facts about this claim, we can confirm that she carries this title.
Although, Gloria (19) is so young, she has accomplished a huge endeavor within her lifetime. Beginning her journey as a writer back when she was only ten years old! She tells her readers that she began her vision in a creative writing class in middle school. She started with only a few pages in a journey of a simple story based off two teenagers entering a "World between the Worlds". After about forty pages in, she dropped the story, stating that she had a horrible "Writer's Block".  (Writer's Block is a common term used by writers to describe the loss of ideas in a story.)
After a while, Gloria's mother, (Marina Terkulova Tesch: the illustrator of her novels), discovered her journal and brought up the subject to her later. Her family sat together and discussed ideas about her story, therefore, with her family's support... she overcame her writer's block.
The publication of her first novel, Maradonia and the Seven Bridges, brought her to many schools and signings, where she was given the opportunity to speak to young children about meeting their dreams and goals. At only thirteen, Gloria Tesch was a motivational speaker, inspiring children all over the United States. Her slogan, "Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader" has reached schools and students from many places.       It's no wonder that in 2012, Gloria received the title, Valedictorian '12 of her school, giving a mind blowing speech to hundreds.

Gloria Tesch published six novels from the Maradonia Saga (illustrated by artist, Marina Terkulova Tesch).

1.) Maradonia and the Seven Bridges
2.) Maradonia and the Escape from the Underworld
3.) Maradonia and the Gold of Ophir
4.) Maradonia and the Dragon Riders
5.) Maradonia and the Law of Blood
6.) Maradonia and the Battle for the Key
7.) Maradonia and the Lost Secret of Kra

Gloria Tesch celebrated her thirteenth birthday with the publication of two Novels, “Maradonia and the Seven Bridges” and “Maradonia and the Escape from the Underworld.”
With the age of fourteen Gloria published two more novels, “Maradonia and the Gold of Ophir” and “Maradonia and the Dragon Riders”.
With 15 years she presented her fifth novel: “Maradonia and the Law of Blood” and her sixth novel: “Maradonia and the Battle for the Key”.

At eighteen, Gloria still continues writing. She let her Twitter followers know in 2013, that she is working her next series (separate from Maradonia). Not much information has been given on details, but she has stated that it continues the same genre of fiction/fantasy.

Although Tesch loves writing, she can be found doing many other things. This teenager is an ambitious hard worker, doing many different jobs including the tough field of modeling.

Modeling

She quoted on her Facebook Page, "I often find myself caught up in doing all kinds of things! I try to do something productive everyday. Otherwise, I just feel so lazy."

In a radio interview back in 2010, Gloria told the crew that she enjoys modeling, but is not fully concentrating on that career direction.

"I'm doing it just in my extra time, but I wouldn't mind doing modeling, if I was given the opportunity to be with a large agency..."

Modeling, photo shoots and professional promotions fill up some of her extra time, if any time. But Gloria stated that parts of the modeling industry is dangerous to a young woman with strong faith in God.  Gloria still does some photoshoots in the meantime. (See photos)
Instead, she stays busy by pursuing her dream as an accomplished author and producer.

Director and Producer

Gloria recently picked up other projects in the year of 2013, especially in the field of directing, producing and editing. She began studying filming in 2011 and has filmed and produced music videos, clips, and other short films.
Soon she was inspired to write the first two movie screenplays for her books.
On 12-12-12, Gloria directed the opening scene of the Maradonia Saga. She slowly grew into the role of Director/Producer of the film Maradonia and the Seven Bridges
In the video to the right, she talks a little bit about this film. Below is a short teaser trailer produced in 2011.

Gloria and her crew are working hard to create this film.
"It's my passion to film and produce, Maradonia and the Seven Bridges, it has been my vision since the beginning of my journey."

Maradonia and the Seven Bridges is the first film of the Maradonia Saga. In this film, Maya and Joey, the two teenage characters enter a cave containing a magical portal into the Land of Maradonia. Their arrival in Maradonia fulfills a prophecy and launching them into an extraordinary adventure of epic proportions.
Their simple life changes completely and the fate of an entire empire falls into their hands. Maya and Joey encounter strange new creatures that help them conquer the seven bridges of tests and temptations, all of which are necessary to overcome and defeat the powers of darkness- King Apollyon and his kingdom.
In this film, mystery, murder, defeat, revenge, crime and conspiracy, battle with the power of faith, knowledge, and wisdom keeping you at the edge of your seat. Based on the novels by Gloria Tesch, this epic series is slated for at least six feature films, following Maya and Joey on their journey to fulfill their destiny.
Well, what can't this girl do? She even plays as the main character of the film.
Only time will tell, what this young girl- Gloria Tesch, will show in her checklist of accomplishments.
Word for the day, "Every great person was once an amateur."
